At Deaf Birth Services, we offer thoughtful, relationship-based support that honors your communication needs, values, and goals. Whether you’re seeking doula care, apprentice midwifery services under supervision, birth assistant support, or community education, our services are designed to meet you where you are—clearly, compassionately, and without pressure.
Compassionate midwifery care provided by an apprentice midwife under the direct supervision of a licensed midwife. Services include prenatal, birth, and postpartum support while following Texas regulations and established midwifery standards—always with transparency, informed consent, and collaboration at the center.
Clinically oriented birth support for licensed midwives attending out-of-hospital births. Services include accurate charting, birth space setup, hands-on assistance, newborn support, and calm, nonverbal communication during labor and birth. This role focuses on teamwork, organization, and supporting the midwife and family throughout the birth process. (NRP and BLS certified along with Breech Training)
Engaging, accessible presentations offered both virtually and in person for interpreters, healthcare professionals, community organizations, and Deaf and hard-of-hearing families. Topics center on birth equity, Deaf-centered care, communication access, reproductive justice, and perinatal education—always tailored to the audience and setting.
These optional services are available to complement your birth or postpartum experience. Add-ons may be requested alongside doula or midwifery services or as standalone offerings where appropriate.
